[Apostle Willard Richards Journal] Hickory Thunder. Pleasant. Dr. Richards moved out to PeterÂ's Bridge (4 miles), which President Young built the day previous. On the east side found a post on which was written, "This bridge was built by B. Y. and Co. May 14, 1846." "PeterÂ's Bridge" [was] added by the historian. Here were 3 of the PresidentÂ's wagons, and while the doctor was resting, President Kimball and company come up and passed on 3 miles to Cream Encampment, at which place the doctor stayed. Traveling very bad. President Young traveled about 5 miles further and encamped in a valley by a creek where he built a willow bridge. SpragueÂ's Emcampment. Captain Rockwood arrived at headquarters early in the morning.
