Mormon History, Nov 14, 1847

[Hosea Stout Diary] Sund Nov. 14th 1847. Went to meeting at the stand The Twelve spoke about the valley[.] Said it was a good place to serve the Lord in and that was what we wanted &c
The subject of vacating this place was laid before the people and agreed to.
Went to the Council. My case & C. W. Pattens was brought up again. We settled it.
President Young spoke against the present practice of dancing. Mingling with all manner of people in the dance. The control of dancing was left to the Bishops as they were the judges & had the over sight of their wards and for them to always be present at all such parties in their wards.
