[Hosea Stout Diary] Sund. Decr 12th 1847. Went to Council. Scott & Meeks case up. I acted as defendant in this case here in Meeks place. We had a long trial which lasted nearley all day. We gained however & the Council sustained the police in every particular. The Twelve were also present who also sustained us.
