Mormon History, Nov 11, 1847

[Hosea Stout Diary] Thursd Nov 11th 1847. At and around home & around the City. In the evening had a police meeting at the Council House to decide who should have a cow that was in the possession of the police. It fell by lot to E. H. Groves. Also to decide how to dispose of taxes on the stores[.] It was decided to divide it amongst us by percent on our dues. The collector had now got his business in a forward state. The stores were all willing to pay their taxes honorably.
