[Apostle Willard Richards Journal] Wind south, thawing fast, very sloppy. Dr. [Richards] came in office about 11, Presidents Brigham and Joseph Young a little after noon. Joseph stated that he thought 100 pounds [of] provisions very little for each pioneer. Brigham replied he wanted all to stay here who had not faith to go with that amount and wait till they had faith enough. Brother Benson and G. A. Smith called. T. B. [Thomas Bullock] arranging papers and documents for 1846. Three flocks of swans, about 50 in number, flew up the River northwards during the day. Many men employed in the Mill Dam. The high priests had a party in the council house. Dr. left the party on 4th about half past 2, same time as President Young.
