Mormon History, Mar 9, 1847

[Apostle Wilford Woodruff Journal] 9th I met in council with the Twelve & spent the day together. While in council Br McCray & Lumero Arived from Nauvoo. Br McCray had been in prision & many of the Brethren were imprisioned & others Hung untill they were nearly dead. This was done by the mob. I spent the evening at Br Smoots & read a portion of my Journal.
