[Hosea Stout Diary] Thursday March 11th 1847. Around as usual. Today Wm Meeks, one of the Captains of the guard came to see me. He was the last of the Captains who staid with me last spring and went with his company to Missouri to work from Locus Creek and was true and faithful to me to the last. I arrainged the guard as usual & went on guard untill Eleven oc
