Mormon History, Thursday, Mar 4, 1847.

[Apostle Willard Richards Journal] Very pleasant morning, westerly wind, thawing fast. Geese flying northward. Dr. [Richards] came in office about 11. Brother Potter reported the four oxen drove by T. B. [Thomas Bullock] doing well and a yoke of stags, before reported dead, are alive. Dr. sowed lettuce, peppergrass, radish, turnip, onion seeds on the octagon. Made several calls. Supped with Alanson Eldridge and their wives at Brother Phinehas H. YoungÂ's in conversation and singing and left about 10:30. Dr. retired to bed soon after, but slept none till about sunrise, having read newspapers most of the night. Froze considerable this night.
