[Brigham Young Discourse] The President preached a sermon on general concern, and advised to be wise and friendly toward the Lamanites, not crowd them but watch our properties. The brethren were told to prepare for a start in the afternoon to the next timber. The mothers were told that it is their duty to take care of their children in all manners and to bear as many as possible, and not hand the burden upon the father but let him have enough of his own business. And the men were told to treat their wives kindly. -- Mount Pisgah, Iowa [Heber C. Kimball Journals, Special Collections, Merrill-Cazier Library, Utah State University, Logan.]
