[Hosea Stout Diary] Wednesday January 27th 1847. This morning I issued orders for the police, on the Treasurer[.] Br W. Woodruff who acted now in the place of Br Orson Pratt, who is gone to Garden Grove. After that I was around as usualregulated the guard and came home & staid. The Seventies are holding a ball in the Council house & are enjoying themselves first rate
