[Hosea Stout Diary] Friday January 29th 1847. This was a fine clear warm day. No wind hardly. The snow soft. A man could take comfort in life. Every thing seemed to smile. I was around as usualattended the meeting of the officers of Brighams Company & was placed in J. M. Grants hundred. Arrainged the guard as usual
