[Oliver Cowdery] Joseph Smith, Jr. deposited the title page of the Book of Mormon at the office of the Northern District of New York (in Rochester?) and obtained a copyright for his not quite completed "translation." Oliver Cowdery finished transcribing the "printer's manuscript" at about the end of July. (1)

[Revelations] Fayette, New York. Doctrine and Covenants 17. Instructions to the Three Witnesses prior to their viewing the Book of Mormon plates. Must have faith.
In October 1831 Ezra Booth saw this revelation while visiting Missouri with Joseph and other leaders the preceding summer. Ezra Booth Letters (1-3).
Kirtland Revelations Book, 119-120, heading: {A} Revelation to Oliver <Cowdery> David <Whitmer> and Martin Harris given Fayett, Senica Co. New York [DEL: given :DEL] previous to them having a view of the plates &c.

[Oliver Cowdery] After Egbert B. Grandin, pro-Masonic publisher of the Wayne Sentinel in Palmyra refused to publish the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith, Jr. (no doubt asisted by Oliver Cowdery and Martin Harris) attempted to persuade Thurlow Weed, publisher of the anti-Masonic Rochester Telegraph to print the book in Rochester. Weed also refused, but recommended the services of Elihu F. Marshall, another Rochester publisher. Marshall agreed to print the book. (1)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Jesse Smith, answering a letter from his nephew Hyrum Smith, violently repudiates Mormonism's claims and calls "a fool story" the report that Joseph Sr. has a "wand or rod" like the Egyptian magicians. (5)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Oliver Cowdery, David Whitmer (who remembered that it was a Sunday), and Martin Harris become, at their request, the Three Witnesses. (5)

[Lucy Mack Smith] The Eight Witnesses sign their statement that they have seen and "hefted" the plates. Joseph Jr. returns the plates to Moroni at Manchester. (5)
