Newel moves Joseph and Emma from Harmony to Fayette (David Whitmer home). (2)

-- Sep 28, 1830
[Lucy Mack Smith] Levi Daggett swears out a warrant for Hyrum's arrest for a debt of $21.07; it is returned on 26 October stating that neither Hyrum nor any of his property can be found. This may be the nighttime invasion that Lucy describes in which William routs the intruders. (3)

Missionaries called to Lamanite mission. (4)

First missionaries called to preach to the Lamanites (Native Americans) (see D&C 28, 30, 32). (5)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Joseph Jr. and Emma visit Joseph Sr. and Lucy at Manchester; Joseph receives a revelation for Hyrum to move his family to Colesville and for Joseph Sr. to prepare a place at Waterloo for his own family. (3)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Joseph Sr. and Don Carlos return from their visit to Asael Smith and other relatives. (3)

Frederick G. Williams joins Church. (6)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Great numbers join the Church in northern Ohio, including Sidney Rigdon. (7)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Joseph Sr. goes to debtors prison for a month. (7)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Oliver Cowdery, Parley Pratt, and companions leave for Lamanite mission. (7)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Smith family moves from Manchester cabin to Waterloo, N.Y. (7)

The missionaries taking The Book of Mormon's message to the Indians in Ohio and Missouri have stopped in Kirtland, Ohio. A Baptist minister named Sidney Rigdon decides to join the LDS and bring his 100-member congregation with him. Soon afterward, a vision instructs Smith to move the nascent Mormon community west to Kirtland. Other missionaries proceed to Missouri and settle in Independence. (8)

Parley P. Pratt and Ziba Peterson are called to preach to the Indians (D&C 32). Ezra Thayre and Northrop Sweet are also called (D&C 32, 33). (9)
