[Revelations] Harmony, Pennsylvania. Doctrine and Covenants 25. Emma an elect lady. Don't murmur, but comfort Joseph. Be his scribe so Oliver can go where the Lord wants. Joseph to ordain Emma to expound scriptures and exhort the church. Select hymns for the church. Beware of pride, delight in Joseph. Keep the commandments.

[Revelations] Harmony, Pennsylvania. Doctrine and Covenants 26. Joseph Smith, Oliver Cowdery, and John Whitmer are to study the scriptures, preach, confirm members at Colesville, and farm as needed until the next conference. Church to be managed by common consent, prayer, and faith.

[Joseph Smith] Harmony, Pennsylvania. Joseph Smith received Doctrine & Covenants 25, a revelation manifesting the will of the Lord to his wife, Emma Smith, the elect lady the Lord called to assemble the first hymnbook for the Church. (2)

[Joseph Smith] Priesthood restoration by Peter, James, and John occurs shortly after dawn near Harmony, Pennsylvania, as Joseph Smith and Cowdery are fleeing a mob at Colesville, New York. (3)

[Joseph Smith] Harmony, Pennsylvania. Joseph Smith received Doctrine & Covenants 26, a revelation regarding scripture study and common consent. (2)

[Sydney Rigdon] Dissolution of the Mahoning Baptist Association -- largely because of the disruptions caused by Alexander Campbell's reforms (4)

[Sydney Rigdon] Sydney Rigdon spoke before the annual meeting of the Mahoning Baptist Association, advocating a community of goods be established in the member churches as a major point in the restoration of Apostolic Christianity, similar to the experiment he was then conducting with members of his own congregation in OH; his suggested plan was demolished by Alexander Campbell's speech denouncing communal living for modern congregations (4)

[Oliver Cowdery] Between Aug. and late Oct. Sidney Rigdon's whereabouts were unaccounted for, except that he attended the last meeting of the Mahoning Baptist Association, held in Austintown, Trumbull, OH from Aug. 27 to Aug 29. (5)

Joseph Smith Jr. becomes aware of Hiram Page and his use of a seerstone. However, he waits until the scheduled church conference in September to bring up the issue. (6)

Joseph Smith Sr. And Don Carlos Smith go on Mission. (7)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Oliver Cowdery at the Whitmer home in Fayette commands Joseph Jr. to change D&C 20:37; Joseph persuades the members that he is right. (8)

[Joseph Smith] Joseph begins his translation of the Bible. (9)

-- Late Aug 1830
Joseph Smith visits Colesville with John Whitmer, David Whitmer, and Hyrum Smith. (7)
