While encamped with the main pioneer company near Locust Creek (Middle Fork), Iowa, William Clayton receives word that his wife, Diantha, had given birth to a baby boy in Nauvoo on March 30 and that both were in good health. This experience inspires him to write the lyrics to the hymn, "All Is Well," later known as "Come, Come, Ye Saints."
