Mormon History, Friday, July 4th, 1845

[Apostle John Taylor diary] Had a visit from Bro. Richard Harrison and Sister Harrison, who I formally boarded with in Liverpool. Two to three boats arrived here from Quincy, Burlington &. on pleasure trip. As for us we did not feel like celebrating this day, feeling that we had not been treated as independent citizens.
