The Patriarchal blessing of Angelina Avilda Packer daughter of William and Mary Champlain born in Hartland Windsor Co Vermont Jany 8th 1815
Dear Sister In the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of the holy Priesthood I seal upon thee a father[']s blessing. This blessing shall prove a comfort unto thee for when thou art despondent and in trouble, thou shalt read this blessing with delight, and it shall increase thy faith and raise thee from beds of sickness. Thou hast been a partaker with thy husband in his afflictions and been true and faithful all the day long. The prayers which thou hast put up in secret has proven his deliverance from enemies and afflictions many times. Thy sins at this time are all forgiven thee, for thou art a daughter of Abraham and of the tribe of Ephraim. There is a great blessing laid up in store for thee because of thy faith and
diligence in keeping the commandments of God, and obeying the council [counsel] of thy husband. This blessing thou shall receive in the temple when it is finished, for thou shalt live to see it completed and view all of its apartments; thou shalt also stand before the sanctuary of the Lord and be administered unto.
Thy name shall be written in a book with the name of thy husband and be deposited in the archives of the temple. a new name shall also be given unto thee, which none can read or understand but thyself. This shall constitute with thy husband an endowment, that shall exalt thee to glorious dominions and to the knowledge and power of God. None shall take thy crown or place, if thou wilt continue faithful: and if strange questions arise, put thy trust in God, who will make the crooked straight and point out unto thee the path of true knowledge and wisdom. If at any time, thou shalt step aside through temptation, from the faith of the Gospel, by means of unbelief
, thou shalt be redeemed because of thy blood, thy stock, and the royal family unto whom the promise made by Abraham pertaineth; and as a Shepherd looketh after his sheep upon the mountains and gathereth them together in the valleys thereof, thou shalt be brought back into the fold again, and prove a solace and comfort unto thy husband Thy days are his days and with him thou shalt live to behold the glory of the work of the last days. Thou shalt continue to increase and thy name shall be named upon a multitude. In Zion thou shalt have an everlasting inheritance neither sin or evil shall despoil thee of thy glory, but upon thy head, I seal the blessing of eternal life with an irrevocable decree in the name of Jesus christ. Even so Amen.
Conferred by William Smith Patriarch over the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. June 1845
