igner and as one who can measure well the strength of man & also of beast, and understand the laws and rules of governing the vegetable kingdom in many respects, yet thine heart aspires after more exalted glory, and wisdom shall be increased upon thee

and because of thy knowledge and faith in the Gospel of christ thou shalt be exalted and obtain even that knowledge that angels have desired to look into and have not enjoyed the sight, but shall be made known to thee in the fulness of times, when thou art perfected and great shall be the work that shall be performed from under thine hands and none can hind[er] for when the seed of Israel is gathered to Zion, and the Gospel is taken from the Gentile nations, thou shalt live to behold the glory of God[']s people and their salvation in the day of his visitation upon the nations of the Earth in mighty judgement when many shall escape unto the mountains and all the true Israel of God shall be saved, and thou shalt realize the fulfilment of this blessin[g] upon thine head in thy lifetime and in the world to come inherit eternal life even so Amen.

[Apostle John Taylor diary] It being very wet in the forenoon I was occupied with business in the office. In afternoon rode out with Mr. Joseph Cain, one of my clerks, to attend to some business, among others I called upon Bro. Maring who had been talking of buying some land of me, but as he had not altogether made up his mind, I borrowed one hundred dollars of him, to assist in purchasing some materials that we needed in the Printing Office. Dear Brother Coray I lay my hands upon you at this time to confer upon you a father[']s blessing because of the desires of thine heart for an increase of knowledge and to do good in all things. in building up Zion thy lifetime shall be the time of all thy troubles and sorrows for when pain and death is swallowed up in the victory of the cross thou shalt enter into a fulness of joy and a salvation that is celestial and suffer no longer pain or torment nor afflicted by enemies or sin. thou art one of the chosen seed of Israel art art numbered with the multitude of that seed that bears the name of Abraham. for thou art of peculiar descent. yet a descendant of Joseph. in this blessing then thy posterity is made known. for upon thy seed descendeth the power and blessings of the Holy Priesthood, and shall be handed down to thy posterity. thousands shall follow thine example and thy name shall be written in the temple of God. and thou shalt be a recorder of sacred histories and the
priesthood to which thou art appointed shall follow up in the proper lineage by which also thy name shall be named upon many, thou shalt live to realize the fulfilment of much of this blessing thou shalt be astonished to behold the prosperity of Zion and the gathering together of the house of Israel.

and when thou shalt see all this thou shalt realize more of the power of the Holy Priesthood to which thou art appointed. many shall hear thy voice in distant lands it shall be heard in the East in the West in the North and in the South and thy family relatives shall honor the[e] because of the Priesthood and of the labors of thy ministry and when thou art cast down because of evils & the unbeliefe [unbelief] of people the hardness of the hearts of thy friends thou shalt be visited by a still small voice that shall comfort thee and give thee most perfect conquest and the power of that Priesthood that pertaineth to thy lineage influence over every opposition. and perfect controle [control] of those who are of thy relations. of thy household and of thy friends. For by authority thou shalt speak and none can hinder and in wisdom thou shalt govern thy house.

and thy companion will adhere to thy laws. She shall become a partaker with the[e] of many blessings and none shall take her crown neither can they despoil thee of thy glory. of thine exaltation and of the blessings and privilege that belong to thee and of this holy order of God wisdom shall be given unto thee by the gift of the holy Spirit for by this Spirit shalt thou be led and in times of thy darkest hours thou shalt behold the light and by Vissions [Visions] and dreams thou shalt understand the will of God concerning thee: Poverty and want shall not increase upon thee for better days are thine which are to come. Though Satan may seek in many ways and by his craft inspire the hearts of men to hinder thy progress. and deprive thee of thy glory. the the blessings and privaliges [privileges] of the kingdom. hinder the prosperity of thy famaly [family] and disturn thy domestic enjoyments. which has already been the work of designing men in secret. yet thou shalt triumph wit
h an immortal triumph. and there [their] ways shall be hedged up. and they shall not be prospered in there [their] understanding neither in their day nor throughout their generations unless they repent and restore that which they have taken away from thee. which is but that right and privalige [privilege] ordained upon thine head from times before by the almighty God. even the true riches of earth the honor of thine industry. and a reward of thy labors in all thy life. a more full understanding of this blessing shall be unfolded unto thee after this.

and if thou art true and faithful to thy calling and trust the blessings of holy Prophets and Apostles are upon thine head and by them thou art Eternally saved. and by them thine enemies shall feel the wrath of there [their] own doings and fall in there [their] own snare and the ditch they have dug for their neighbours thy days are numbered and they are not a few. and wisdom shall increase upon thee. and what has been told thee in this blessing shall prove to thy Salvation when thou art perfected. and delivered from sin. and in the resurrection thou shalt realize the whole of this. for by the authority of a Patriarch in the church of God. I seal upon thine head a blessing which is after the power of an endless life which is everlasting and immortal with an irrevocable decree in the name of Jesus christ even so Amen.
