Mormon History, Sept 11 [1845]

[Brigham Young Journal] this morning the news of last evening was confirmed by another messenger. At 9 oclock met in council, about sundown two messengers arrived stating that five houses had been burned by the mob and the goods that were in them. In the evening I received orders from the Sherif J. B. Backinstos to have our men ready organise as militia Sept 11 [1845]
