Mormon History, Oct 6, 1845. Monday.

[William Clayton Journal] ...went to the General conference in the Temple and kept minutes all day. W[illia]m Smith was disfellowshiped from his standing in the quorum of the Twelve and from the office of Patriarch. A vote was taken that this people move to the West en masse and carried, also that we all use our efforts to the utmost of our ability with our means and property to take all the poor with us.
