[Hosea Stout Diary] 14th M. Went down on the flats this morning & fell in company with General Rich on the way and had some talk with himhe desired to see me again and I went to the Hall saw D. D. Yearsly on my way conversed on merchantile business, the Lodge met at 9 oclock from thence I went to Br Campbells thence to Maudsleys and took dinner at Allen J. Stouts.And met the Lodge again at 2 oclock, then went on the hill to the Shoe Shop got a pair of shoes and then took them to Br Maudsley and Started to the police met with Br John E. Page and he came with me to the Hill & spoke to the police on the Subject of having a house built.For himself for which the police subscribed very liberallyI then came home and went to Br Sabins & Sister Sabin who had long been sick was dead from thence I went to Br Weeks and was on guard all night which turned out to be a very wet rainy night I came home in the morning a little after sunrise
