[Brigham Young Discourse] There was a meeting at ten in a beautiful place which had been previously prepared in the timber. President Young taught on the contemplated order of the journey and some principles of economy necessary to be observed by those who travel over the mountain. He also spoke of adopting a rule to use one half pound of flour for each person per day and laying in accordingly which was sanctioned by vote but some thought it too small an allowance. -- Pleasant Point, Iowa [On the Mormon Frontier, the Diaries of Hosea Stout.
