Mormon History, Thursday, Apr 1, 1847.

[Apostle Willard Richards Journal] Wind northwest, bright and clear morning. Dr. [Richads] arose about 10. About 11, Presidents Young, Pratt, Smith, Richards, Kimball, and J. A. Stratton came in the office. Read to them minutes of St. Louis Conference. Talked about standing of different brethren, then adjourned for half an hour. Again met and heard read the list of Saints in St. Louis.
H. C. Kimball stayed and dictated a letter to St. Louis while Presidents Young and Richards went to the mill with Brother John Neff and delivered into his possession the mill and all its appurtenances, calling on Willard Richard, W. W. Phelps, Frederick Kesler, Franklin Neff, Daniel Carn, Samuel Ensign to witness the delivery of said mill unto John Neff. Afterwards, B. Young, W. Richards, C. C. Rich, John Neff, Thomas Thurston, and Jonathan C. Wright met in Dr.Â's office.
B. Young gave Thomas J. Thurston [a] note for $196 on demand. H. C. Kimball gave John Neff [a] note for 250 dollars on demand. W. Richards gave John Neff [a] note [for] 50 dollars on demand. John Eldredge brought a mail of two letters and two packages of newspapers. About 9, O. Pratt, G. A. Smith, W. Woodruff, George Miller, Levi Richards, Willard Richards, H. C. Kimball, B. Young, met in the office. Read papers. About 10 minutes to 11, E. T. Benson joined the council. Dismissed at half past 11. Rodney Badger was brought before the high council for stealing a horse from a Gentile near St. Joseph. Council decided that two men go with the horse and the thief to the owner with a letter from the recorder disapprobating the act.
