[Smith, William B] Charged with rebellious spirit 30 October 1835. (1)

William Smith confronted his brother Joseph, accusing him of always carrying out his planned course, "whether right or wrong." William tried to justify his "treating the authority of the Presidency with contempt." He then resigned his eldership in the Church and made public rxclamations against his brother Joseph. Kirtland, Ohio. Joseph Smiths brother William Smith commenced a period of rebellion after a disagreement he and Joseph had on October 29. (3)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Hyrum tries to reconcile Joseph and William. Joseph agrees to confess if William will. William starts spreading stories about Joseph, convinces Samuel. Lucy does not mention this episode. (4)

[Joseph Smith] Worked periodically on book of Abraham translation, Kirtland. (5)

-- During 1835 Oct.
Oliver Cowdery wrote a letter from Kirtland, Geauga, OH to his brother Warren in Freedom, Cattaraugus, NY, asking him to send one of his younger sons to Kirtland so that Oliver could train him in the printing trade. The information provided in the letter gives the impression that Oliver was a skilled printer with many years experience in that occupation. (6)

[Black History] Joseph Smith reaffirms "official" anti-abolitionist position, (8)

[Cahoon, Reynolds] Revelation dated 1 November 1835 reproved Cahoon for "iniquities". (1)

Reynolds Cahoon is rebuked for "his iniquities, his covetous and dishonest principles." Revelation of November 1, 1835 (9)
