[Hosea Stout Diary] Thursday Augt 6th 1846. Started to move this morning. The weather was very hot and sultrywe only went about six miles stopping two or three hours at noon to let the cattle breath[.] We encamped on the top of the river bluff but near six miles off.It was a beautiful camping place and all those who had gone before had stoped here by the appearance of the ground. There was a good spring near by.
