[Joseph Smith] Kirtland, Ohio. Joseph Smith moved with his family to Hiram, Ohio, to live with John and Alice Johnson. (1)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Joseph and Emma move to John Johnson farm in Hiram, Ohio. (2)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Joseph Jr. and family move into the John Johnson home in Hiram, Ohio (about thirty miles southeast of Kirtland), where he and Sidney Rigdon work on translating the Bible. A conference authorizes W. W. Phelps to buy a press and type for the Evening and the Morning Star, to be published at Independence. (3)

[Joseph Smith] Missionary Jared Carter records that he received the non-ordained "authority of an apostle." A revelation a year later contained the last known reference to Mormon missionaries as "apostles." (4)

[Joseph Smith] Kirtland, Ohio. Joseph Smith completed Matthew 26:123 in his work on the inspired translation of the Bible. (1)

Amherst, Ohio conference silences Elder Chauncy Odle, Oliver Cowdery presiding. (5)

Joseph Smith moves to Hiram, OH and lives with the Johnsons. Sidney Rigdon also moves to Hiram. (6)

[Cahoon, Reynolds] Returned to Kirtland by September 1831. (7)

[Smith, Samuel Harrison] Returned to Ohio September 1831. (7)

Sidney baptizes Orson Hyde, Joseph confirms him, and both ordain him an elder. Orson Hyde (5)

Jesse Gause: Baptized after 22 Oct. 1831 (8)

[Hyde, Orson] Baptized into LDS Church by Sidney Rigdon 2 October 1831. (7)

[Joseph Smith] Hiram, Ohio. Joseph Smith received Doctrine & Covenants 65, a revelation on the Lords Prayer, in which the Lord confirmed that the keys of the kingdom of God were established upon the earth so that the kingdom of heaven may come. (1)
