[Hosea Stout Diary] Wed & Thurs April 4 & 5 1849. Worked for T. B. Foote who is building a Bridge across Cañon creek. This is the first carpenter work that I have done since the death of Joseph[.] Had rain on Wednesday & on Thursday morning a snow two inches deep & snowed hard all the afternoon. Very uncomfortable working.
