[Hosea Stout Diary] Wednesday Sept 22nd 1847. Sent 6 men out on guard and staid at home.
L. H. Calkins & his wife came here today on a visit & Father Burton came also drunk. He had lately lost his wife and it appeared that he was both drowning trouble and hunting another wifeat any rate the women had a tedious day with him.
Today reports from Brighams Farm says that Lee & Keneda [Charles Kennedy] had a fight about their stray pen opperations up there & Lee came off victorious for he badly worsted Keneda & did not get hurt himself.
