Mormon History, Wednesday, Dec 30, 1846.

[Apostle Willard Richards Journal] Mild day, south wind arose about 9 ½ [9:30] a.m. The Church recorder spent the forenoon in trying to borrow ten dollars in money to refund for ten dollars which he had borrowed of Ira Eldridge about five months previous to purchase provisions for his family (this was on Tuesday). The recorder called on the treasurer, O. Pratt, received ten dollars. The Dr. [Richards] worked till midnight sawing and splitting boards to finish the top of his octagon.
