[Hosea Stout Diary] Thursday July the 9th 1846. Was unwell all day & was over-hauling my goods as before[.] We had a fine cooling & refreshing shower this after noon.
Benjamin Jones came on to day from Pisgah. He informed me that my brother Allen was very sick while in the settlements as mentioned on the 4th of last June and that Br Anderson had taken him and his family to Garden Grove and left them there and gone back after his family.
