Brigham Young anoints Heber C. Kimball and his wife Vilate as the first couple to receive the second anointing in a temple in which they are ordained as eternal "king and queen, priest and priestess unto God." Brigham Young, as part of the ceremony, promises Heber "blessing of the Holy reserection, Even to the Eternal Godhead" after which Vilate is anointed "a Queen & Priestess unto her husband."
