Mormon History, Jan 25, 1848

[Hosea Stout Diary] Tues Jan 25th 1848. Today the police commenced to clean & put in order the public arms which I assure you was a laborious & tedious job. The Council House looked more like a gun smith establishment than anything else.
Last night J. P. Harmons pork house was entered and considerable pork taken out which Langley by stratagem found out was done by Bushrod W. Wilson. He was had up before Bp H. Peck and made to pay four fold & restore the pork taken[.] E. Gardner returned today with some corn the avails of their preaching.
