[Hosea Stout Diary] Thurs Feb. 3rd 1848. Around as usual. The police committee have all returned having near one hundred dollars in goods clothing and money. I was engaged with them till late at night.
Those who were in the battle of Nauvoo in the fall of 1846, had a party today styled "The Defenders of Nauvoo at C. C. Boltons house. They had a high time some being very high. Cold N. wind in evening.
