[Hosea Stout Diary] Saturday, Jany 10th 1846. This morning I went to the Temple at 6 oclock and from there to B. Jones & took breakfast and then met the company who were to meet here for carthage as mentioned yesterday and then went home and got my horse & met the guards as usual and rode to the uper steam Mill and wattered and regulated the guard and then met the Lodge at 9 oclock and started home at Twelve and was informed by Elisha Hoops that the mob were making preparations at Warsaw for another campaign against us.I went on home and after dinner met the guard at three as usual and as I & Hunter had business with Hecock & Loomis I put the guard under D. McArthur.Near sun down the guard returned from their excurtion & I regulated it for the night and met the police and started for home & on my way met Scott & his company returning from CarthageAll was well Anties made no resistance & the mormons carried the day.I came home at dark.
