Mormon History, Jun 28, 1847

The first pioneer company leaves the Oregon Trail. Rather then taking the Sublette cut-off on the Oregon Trail, the group veers west toward Fort Bridger, Wyoming. After crossing the Little Sandy, the company meets Jim Bridger and discusses with him the possibility of settlement in the Great Basin.
