Mormon History, Apr 15, 1847. Thursday.

[William Clayton Journal] After eating and prayers by Bishop Whitney started at half past 7 and got to the Elk Horn at 11 1/2. We were all across at 12 and there we overtook Brigham, G. A. Smith, E. T. Benson and Amasa Lyman. We arrived at the pioneers Camp about 3 P.M. This Camp is about 12 miles from the Elk Horn and about 47 from Winter Quarters. I spent the evening with Aaron Farr, Horace Whitney and Jackson Redding.
