[Hosea Stout Diary] Friday January 15th 1847. This was one of the most cold & disagreeable day ever met with[.] The wind in the North beating a driving snow which almost entirely obstructed the sight. I was in doors all day, & very unwell, & only went out long enough to arrainge the guard.
