The endowed quorum meets for prayer. (1)

At a political meeting, held at Nauvoo, Joseph Smith was nominated a candidate for the Presidency of the United States. Soon afterwards a large number of Elders were sent to the various States of the Union to electioneer for him. (2)

[William Clayton Journal] At President Joseph's in Council with the Twelve on the subject of running Joseph for President of U.S. Joseph said he would have to send me out on a mission. P.M. at his house. Evening attended lodge and after had some conversation with Desdemona C. Fullmer. She has treated my family unfeelingly and unkindly in various ways and I requested her to look out for another home. She said she would not untill she had council from Joseph. (3)

[Anointed Quorum] Evening prayer circle meeting at Brigham Young's house, second anointings for John and Leonora Taylor . (4)

[Apostle Wilford Woodruff Journal] 30 Met with the quorum at Elder Youngs for a meeting. {JT} {LT} Br & Sister John Taylor was with us. Br Taylor made some appropriate remarks unto edifycation. /J Taylor & Leonora Taylor Received their 2d Anointing & sealing./ (5)

[Brigham Young] --30-- The Quorum met at my house. John and Leonora Taylor were sealed and anointed. (6)

At Brigham Young's house in Nauvoo John Taylor and his wife Leonora are given their second anointing and sealing. (7)

[Joseph Smith Diary] Tuesday, January 30th 1844 11 A.M. went into the office with Col[onel] Jackson. [several lines left blank] 1 P.M. Court at my office, City versus Thomas Coates, fined $25 and costs for beating John Ellison. [several lines left blank]

A Millerite preached again in the assembly room [to a] full house and Elder Rigdon replied to him. Prayer Meeting at B[righam] Young's. John Taylor and wife present [and received second anointing]. (9)

[William Clayton Writings] When a certain man from Quincy, for example, began to tantalize the prophet in January 1844, Clayton was delighted to hear the church leader tell the offender, ``In the name of the Lord'' that not many years would pass away before he was in the hands of the devil himself. (10)

[Anointed Quorum] Evening prayer circle meeting at Brigham Young's house, second anointing for George and Bathsheba Smith . (4)

[Apostle Wilford Woodruff Journal] 31 Their is quite a revival throughout Nauvoo & enquiring after the things of God by all the quorums & Church in general. I met with the quorum of Twelve this evening at Elder Youngs & had a good time. {GAS} {BS} Br & Sister G A Smith was present this evening /And Received their 2d Anointing & Sealing/. They have been quite unwell.

Feb [1] I spent the day painting & drawing my arches in the front of my house & geting my roof on. (5)

[Brigham Young] --31-- I met with the Quorum at my house. George A. and Bathsheba W. Smith were anointed, having been sealed on the 20th inst. (6)

Joseph Smith donates 29 books to the "Nauvoo Library and Literary Institute" including John L. Stephens's TRAVELS IN CENTRAL AMERICA and INCIDENTS OF TRAVEL IN YUCATAN, William Beaumont's EXPERIMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS ON THE GASTRIC JUICE, and a five volume collection of Walter Scott's POETICAL WORK. At Brigham Young's Nauvoo home George A. Smith and wife Bathsheba W. Smith receive their second anointing administered by Brigham Young. (7)

Joseph Smith donates a copy of the Apochryphal Testament to the Nauvoo library, containing items such as baptism for the dead (11)
