[Hosea Stout Diary] Sund 9th. Went to meeting[.] Rev Mr Crow preached German Presbyterian. Prest Young spoke about raising a fund to be applied for removing the poor to this place also to make a settlement south on tithing &c.in the afternoon J. M. Grant spoke on the fund for the poor.
W. Snow L. Snow J. S. Fulmer F. D. Richards & J. D. Lee was appointed a committee to collect the money for this fund as the people may donate and J. M. Grant is to carry it to the States to be laid out to remove the poor. Rained to day
