Wilford Woodruff records: "I called upon Mr. A. Crane M.D., professor of Phrenology, who accompanied me to my house and examined my head and the heads of my family and gave us a chart of each head." (3)

-- Jun 25, 1842
Joseph Smith writes: "Sat for a drawing of my profile to be placed on a lithograph of the map of the city of Nauvoo." What he understood would be a lithograph turns out two years later to be a zinc engraving measuring 27 inches by 22 inches. (3)

-- Jun 26, 1842
Sunday prayer circle and council meeting by Joseph Smith in his old home with Hyrum Smith, George Miller, Newel K. Whitney, William Marks, Brigham Young, Heber C. Kimball, and Willard Richards (BLL, MHBY). Sunday soon became the regular meeting day of the Anointed Quorum when circumstances allowed. (4)

-- Jun 27, 1842
"the council assembledin the evening" at Smith's old home, but this was not the Anointed Quorum, because this meeting induded unendowed men Edward Hunter, Edwin D. Woolley, (Charles or James) Ivins, and Robert Pierce, none of whom entered the 1842-45 Anointed Quorum (BLL, HC, NKW). [EHAT, 52, makes the unlikely suggestion that merely because these unendowed men of no ecclesiastical status were already using the room, a scheduled meeting of the Anointed Quorum adjourned without holding its prayer circle. Smith was not that deferential. (4)

-- After Jun 28, 1842
Stephen Markhow attempts to destroy Nancy Rigdon's character; several respond with affidavits confirming Nancy's good character. 7-Jul Joseph Smith sends Orson Pratt on mission. (5)

-- Before Jun 28, 1842
Joseph Smith offers John Bennett $500 to help get Nancy Rigdon; Bennett refuses [per George W. Robinson]. (5)

-- Jun 28, 1842
[Anointed Quorum] "the adjourned council of Sunday evening met at the upper Room at Josephs [old home] & were agreed that a reinforcement go immediately to the pine country..." (BLL). (4)
