Sidney Rigdon's Kirtland congregation is converted to Mormonism. (1)

[Joseph Smith] In Fayette a revelation to Ezra Thayer and Northrop Sweet is given (BC 35; LDS D&C 33; RLDS D&C 32). [FAYETTE,] (2)

-- 1830, October-November
"Lamanite missionaries" converted some 130 non-Indians in Kirtland, OH, area en route to western border of Missouri. (3)

-- Autumn 1830
Levi Hancock (a cabinet maker) baptized. (4)

Parley P. Pratt has vision in the heavens of lights forming shapes (square and compass). (4)

-- Oct 1830
Oliver Cowdery, Parley P. Pratt, Peter Whitmer, and Ziba Peterson sent on mission to Missouri (to the Lamanites). They arrive early 1831 [per Oliver Cowdery and Peter Whitmer]. On their way, they stop in Kirtland, OH (Oct), Parley P. Pratt seeks out and baptizes Sidney Rigdon, along with several other Cambellites. (4)

Orson Hyde (a Campbellite) baptized (by Sidney Rigdon). (4)

Samuel H. Smith, Ziba Peterson, Frederick G. Williams, and Peter Whitmer preach in Kirtland, OH [per Orson Hyde]. (4)

[Smith, William B] Ordained teacher October 1830. (5)

[Thayer, Ezra] Baptized October 1830 by Parley P. Pratt. Stated concerning conversion: When Hyrum began to speak, every word touched me to the inmost soul. I thought every word was pointed to me. God punished me and riveted me to the spot. I could not help myself. The tears rolled down my cheeks, I was very proud and stubborn. There were many there who knew me, I dare not look up. I sat until I recovered myself before I dare look up. They sung some hymns and that filled me with the Spirit. When Hyrum got through, he picked up a book and said, "here is the Book of Mormon". I said, let me see it. I then opened the book, and I received a shock with such exquisite joy that no pen can write and no tongue can express. I shut the book and said, what is the price of it? "Fourteen shillings" was the reply. I said, Ill take the book. I opened it again, and I felt a double portion of the Spirit, that I did not know whether I was in the world or not. I felt as though I was truly in heave
n. Martin Harris rushed to me to tell me that the book was true. I told him that he need not tell me that, for I knew that it is true as well as he. (5)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Emma, who is pregnant with twins, exhausts herself in helping to prepare the missionaries clothing and is ill for four weeks. (6)

-- October 1-17, 1830
[Revelations] Manchester, New York. Doctrine and Covenants 32. Parley P. Pratt and Ziba Peterson to join Oliver Cowdery and Peter Whitmer Jr. on the mission to the Lamanites.
Approximate date is based on the date (October 17) that the four signed the mission covenant. Ezra Booth Letters (8-9).
