[Hosea Stout Diary] Thurs June 29th 1848. Moved on today about14 or 16 milescamped on the river[.] Banks higher than common. Large herd of Buffalo were seen all day on the other side of the river & a few were killed but not brought into camp. We now have occasionally sandy ridges to cross which is very hard on teams other wise the road is as usual.
