Mormon History, Dec 25, 1847 (Evening)

[Brigham Young Sermon] We want a statement of every 100, 50 and 10 in order that we might know what will be wanting. If a man has faith he can fit himself out, so let it be, put him down going. When men come along keep filling up with Captains of 10, 50 and 100. We must keep the old papers together, in order to know when we have got them all over. Pres. Young repeated his statements in regard to br. Taylor and Parley's disorganizing the emigrating divisions, and the interview at Big Sandy. If such things are going to be admitted in the priesthood we are bound for destruction. -- Winter Quarters, Nebraska [Thomas Bullock Minutes, LJA; Thomas Bullock—LDS Church Reporter, 1844-56.C, Archives, Church History Library, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Salt Lake City, Utah.; GCM, Archives, Church History Library, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Salt Lake City, Utah..; General Church Minutes.
