[Hosea Stout Diary] Tuesday Nov. 4th 1845. This morning the teams met at my house at Sun rise to go to Bear-Creek for corn.I went to the Hall as before to attend to company matters & while was told that Brs Parker & Roundy were some what dissatisfied about some thing which had been done by some of the officers of the Lodge.I met in the Lodge at 9 oclock and then went to G. W. Langleys and from thence to J. D. Hunters and took dinner & he & my self then went and saw Peter Haws and made a bargain with him for the use of his Steam Mill 4 miles below here to Saw the Lumber for our waggons. This was very convenient for my company as it was so near to the Lot of Land alluded to (yesterday [crossed out]) day before yesterdayWe then went to Joel Edmunds and then met the police and then went to Br. Henry P. Sherwoods and got the Six Shooter which I lent him previous to his mission with James Emmett.it was in good order. I then came home at dark.
