Thursday, July 24th. Attending to office business. Went to visit the Temple, on company with Mrs. Taylor, Elias Smith, and his sister Martha.
It is progressing with great rapidity. In afternoon went to visit Hiram Kimball; he was not at home. He is a singular man and has not much faith; his wife is a good woman and strong Mormon. We had a pleasant visit. Friday, July 25th 1845. About business pertaining to office.
