[Apostle John Taylor diary] We met for the purpose of selecting County officers. We selected Miner R. Deming as Sheriff because we thought he was as good a man as we could get. Henry W. Miller we selected for Coroner, we chose him so that if anything happened to Deming he was an efficient man, and would act in his place. Daniel H. Wells, County Commissioner.
