[Jacob Hamblin] After listening to the Mormon preaching, he joined the Mormon Church on 3 March 1842. Hamblin started missionary work almost immediately and became known as a faith healer, showing the signs of "those that believe," in his words. The next year he moved to Nauvoo, Illinois, where the Mormon Church headquarters were located. (2)

[Anointed Quorum] Joseph Smith gave final approval for publication in the LDS Times and Seasons of the second "facsimile" woodcut from "the Book of Abraham in the original," Egyptian papyri he had received from a collector on 3 July 1835. Smith's published interpretation of this Egyptian hypocephalus included two references to the "grand key words of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, as revealed to Adam in the Garden of Eden," as well as the statement: "Contains writing that cannot be revealed unto the world; but is to be had in the Holy Temple of God." Exactly two months later, Smith began revealing those "grand key words of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood" to nine men (HC). (3)

Nauvoo, Illinois. In preparation for the publication of the book of Abraham in the Church newspaper Times and Seasons, Joseph Smith showed the book of Abraham papyri to Reuben Hedlock and gave him instructions about preparing facsimiles for printing. (1)

Francis Gladen Bishop cut off for setting himself up as Prophet and Revelator to the Church [per Brigham Young]. (4)

[Polygamy] to 27 Jun 1844 Marriage - Joseph to Patty Bartlett Sessions, age 47,already married. Patty Sessions was sealed to Joseph Smith on March 9, 1842 as indicated by her personal journal entry, "I was sealed to Joseph Smith by Willard Richards March 9, 1842, in Newel K. Joseph Smith marries Patty Bartlett Sessions, the legal wife of, David Sessions, as his 9th plural wife. At Hyrum Smith's office in Nauvoo Lysander M. Davis is "found guilty of slandering the character of Joseph Smith & was bound over to keep the peace under $100 bond." (6)

Joseph Smith (36) sealed to Patty Bartlett Sessions (47) (wife of David Sessions) by Willard Richards. (4)

Nauvoo, Illinois. Joseph Smith wrote a letter to Edward Hunter at West Nantmeal, Pennsylvania. (1)

[Polygamy] [115]Patty Bartlett (Sessions) age 47, already married. (4 February 1795 in [116]Bethel, [117]Maine - 14 December 1893 in [118]Bountiful, [119]Utah). Her daughter Sylvia Porter Sessions Lyon, who had married Smith one month before, was present at Session's wedding to Smith;^[120][^37] Patty's current husband David Sessions was apparently unaware of the marriage ceremony.^[[121]citation needed]

At Joseph Smith's house Brigham Young attends "the High Council, at the trial of Francis Gladden Bishop, who had set himself up as a Prophet and Revelator to the Church. After his revelations were read, which were a bundle of nonsense and folly, they were committed to the flames, and he was cut off from the Church and delivered over to the buffetings of Satan." Joseph Smith says "nothing would excuse him in the sight of God & angels in commit[t]ing the unpardonable sin only because he was a FOOL & had not sens[e] sufficient for the Holy Ghost to enlighten him."
