[Higbee, Elias] Traveled to Jackson County, Missouri, in summer of 1832. (1)

[Lyman, Amasa Mason] Moved to Kirtland, Ohio, by summer of 1832. (1)

-- Aug 1, 1832
[Gause, Jesse] Left Kirtland 1 August 1832. (1)

Jesse Gause and Zebedee Coltrin leave Kirtland on a mission. Jesse never returns.; (2)

[Lucy Mack Smith] Jesse Gause and Zebedee Coltrin take a mission for the East. Coltrin, ill, returns on 19 August. Gause disappears; his name is replaced in church records by Frederick G. Williams. (3)

Joseph Smith says plates were 6" x 8" and thinner than tin and 6" high, 40 to 60 lbs and had the appearance of gold. (4)

-- Aug 19, 1832
[Gause, Jesse] Parted company with Coltrin about 19 August 1832, apparently enroute to Fayette County, Pennsylvania-Gauses preaching area as Quaker. (1)

Zebedee concludes "that it was not my duty to preced any further to the East. I have been afficted with a pain in my head every day Sinse we Started." He and Jesse Gause pray with and for each other "in the fellowship of the Gospel of our Lord & saviour Jesus Christ." (2)

[Joseph Smith] Hiram. Ohio. Joseph Smith received Doctrine & Covenants 99, a revelation calling John Murdock to proclaim the gospel in the eastern countries. (5)

-- Aug 23, 1832
Joseph ordains Amasa Lyman and Zerubabel Snow elders. They leave on missions the next day, Amasa having heard only 5 sermons. (2)

[Lyman, Amasa Mason] Ordained elder by Joseph Smith in Hiram, Ohio, 23 August 1832. (1)

-- Aug 24, 1832
[Whitmer, Peter, Jr] Returned to Independence, Missouri, by 24 August 1832. Ceremony performed by Oliver Cowdery. Three children: Emma, Kate, and Vashti P. (1)

-- Aug 29, 1832
D&C 99 (Hiram): John Murdock called on a mission to the East. He is to cleanse his feet in secret as a testimony against those who reject him. Lord comes quickly to judge the ungodly. (2)
