[Cahoon, Reynolds] Ordained counselor to Bishop Newel K. Whitney 10 February 1832. (1)

Hyrum Smith and Reynolds Cahoon are set apart as counselors to Bishop Whitney. (2)

Alexander Campbell writes his denunciation of The Book of Mormon, citing numerous discrepancies and contradictions. (3)

Revelation known as "The Vision" (D&C 76) received by Joseph Smith, Hiram, OH. [See Visions of Joseph Smith; Degrees of Glory.] (4)

Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon received vision of the three degrees of glory (D&C 76), in Hiram, Ohio. (5)

D&C 76 (Hiram): While revising John 5:29, Joseph and Sidney see a vision of the heavenly kingdoms. First published in EMS 1, no. 2 (July 1832). Philo Dibble and others were present. Philo describes Joseph's and Sidney's vision conversation. Joseph Remembered (2)

[Joseph Smith] Hiram, Ohio. Joseph Smith worked through John 5:2040 in his work on the inspired translation of the Bible. (6)

[Joseph Smith] Hiram, Ohio. While at the John Johnson home, Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon received a vision recorded in Doctrine & Covenants 76, in which they saw the Son of Man on the right hand of God as well as events in the premortal life and postmortal glories. (6)

[Joseph Smith] Joseph Smith and Rigdon see and record a vision of three degrees of heavenly glory (see 9 May 1832). (7)

[Joseph Smith] Vision of nearly universal salvation in three levels of heaven, Hiram, Ohio. (8)

[Joseph Smith] Joseph and Sidney Rigdon see a vision concerning life after death. This vision is now found in Doctrine and Covenants Section 76. (9)
