Mormon History, Nov 6, 1846

[Hosea Stout Diary] Friday Nov. 6th 1846. This was a damp day. I was around home most of the time. Went with the Marshall to see Brigham relative to this Beers mentioned last night. He appointed this evening to call the council together to act on the subject and then went to see Br G. W. Harris, who had had to settle like difficulties with him while on the other side of the river. He said that he found him to be a mean, disagreeable, willfull incoragable man and regardless of peace and good order and the council and authorities of this church.
At 5 oclock the Council met on the Point overlooking the North End of the City. There were present of the Twelve Brigham Young, H. C. Kimball[.] Amasa Lyman. Orson Pratt[.] Willard Richards and of the High Council A. Cutler[.] R. Cahoon[.] C. P. Lott, A. P. Rockwood[.] Thomas Grover[.] J. M. Grant and Bishop Whitney & myself and the Marshall making in all 15. William Clayton also.
It was proposed what to do with those who were in our midst whose bodies were tabernacles for devils that is rebellious wicked ungovernable men who are breeding a continual disturbance & exciting others to discontent &c
It was unanimously decided to have the Law of God put in force on them &c. There was much said and but one feeling on the subject
